The busiest airports in PlaneTrack coverage and the best and worst on-time performers, ranked from what actually flew. Movements come from our own tracking network; punctuality comes from FAA operational data, adjusted for each airport's normal taxi time.
Movements are airline departures plus arrivals as tracked by PlaneTrack's receiver network, so coverage is strongest over North America and Europe. On-time figures are computed from FAA SWIM data for flights operating in US airspace: a flight counts as on time within 15 minutes of schedule after subtracting the airport's median taxi time, so congested taxiways aren't billed as airline delay.
