What is a go-around?
A go-around is an aborted landing: the crew stops the approach, climbs away and comes around for another try. It is a normal, trained procedure, usually because the runway was not clear, the approach was not stable or the wind changed. PlaneTrack detects one when an aircraft on final descends close to a runway and then climbs.
